Our team of dedicated professionals provides the highest level of medical and nursing care in an atmosphere that is appreciated by both residents and their families.
Our nursing staff is available 24 hours a day to assist in meeting the needs of our patients. Diplomat Healthcare offers specialized programs and individualized care plans designed to achieve the best outcomes for you or your loved one. Whether you are seeking short-term services or long-term care, our team is committed to meeting your individual needs. Our Care Services include, but are not limited to:
Extensive skilled services are provided for a multitude of health care needs at Diplomat Healthcare. The nursing staff works collaboratively with outside services such as physicians, specialists, wound clinics, pain clinics, and dialysis centers, to ensure our residents health care needs are met fully.
Our nurses are trained to provide care to residents with a variety of medical processes and receive ongoing education to keep up with the most recent treatment techniques. Our Medical Director Dr. Samuel Ghoubrial oversees a staff of 3 attending physicians, 1 physician assistant, and 2 nurse practitioners who routinely review our residents' treatment plans and provide added resources to our nursing staff.
Diplomat Healthcare has an incomparable therapy program. We offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Our therapists are employed directly by our facility, eliminating contracted time frames in which a resident must be seen.
Our philosophy is to create a positive nurturing environment that will promote the residents ability to reach their highest physical and mental functional potential. To achieve this goal therapy services are provided 7 days a week. Our hours are designed to meet each resident's schedule.
Therapists are working with residents at varying hours of the day, including evening hours. Our flexible scheduling allows for residents who have a difficult time during the day to be seen in the evening hours. Diplomat's therapy department also provides outpatient services to allow for a smooth transition from Skilled Therapy to the community. We are dedicated to see all of our residents reach their highest level of independence in order to maintain their highest quality of life.
Diplomat Healthcare features Memory Park, a secure, memory support unit located on the third floor of our facility. This unit is staffed with nurses and STNA's (state-tested nursing assistants) who are well educated on providing care to those with dementia and Alzheimer's disease and the associated behaviors/conditions that accompany such disease processes.
The secure unit allows residents with wandering/exit seeking behaviors to do so in a safe environment. Activities staff provides specific activities to those with memory impairments in an effort to maintain stimulation. Dr. David Fox, psychiatrist out of Parma Hospital, visits bi-weekly and provides management of psychotropic medication use. Psychology services are available in house through Dr. Michael Christie and Dr. Joseph Murray.
