Saber Healthcare Partners with WGU

Jun. 19th, 2025

May 5th, 2025 – Saber Healthcare is proud to announce our recent partnership with Western Governors University (WGU), a private online university. This partnership with Western Governors University is an exciting opportunity for the Saber Healthcare staff and the team members affiliated with Saber Healthcare to enroll in various educational programs and earn a degree.

Any Saber Healthcare corporate employee and affiliated team member can apply for a discount for any degree. This allows the staff an opportunity to pursue a degree in their field of choice, whether it’s furthering their current career or exploring a passion in their free time.

Furthermore, moving through the lessons is competency-based. That means if you are knowledgeable of a certain subject, you can take the tests and do not need to sit through the lectures. This is a benefit for someone who wants to move quickly through their degree and has some knowledge of the field they’re studying.

Students through this partnership are free to take as many courses as they wish. The courses run for roughly 6 months, and this can help corporate and affiliated employees get through their degrees at their own pace.

There are scholarships available for eligible corporate and affiliated employees, and we encourage them to apply at: https://www.wgu.edu/financial-aid-tuition/scholarships/general/heartbeat-of-healthcare-rn-bsn-scholarship.html

Another benefit is for Saber affiliated employees who are in an administrative nursing role (DON level and above) to apply for the Professional Achievement Grant. This is a 100% tuition free grant for eligible Saber affiliated employees.

We are excited to see employees further their education and learn new skills!
