South Boston Health and Rehab Celebrates Reopening with an Open House

Sep. 4th, 2024

South Boston, VA – On August 29th, South Boston Health and Rehab welcomed the community back to their doors with an open house. The doors of South Boston Health and Rehab were temporarily closed due to a fire and much needed renovations, but the community is now open and willing to accept residents both former and new.

“We are so excited to welcome the residents, families and community back to South Boston Health and Rehab,” Sabrina Jones, Administrator at South Boston said. “We are looking forward to building new relationships and being a resource for Halifax County.”

The celebration gave families the opportunity to meet the staff and take tours to see the beautiful architecture and amenities that South Boston will offer.

Some of the features in the new building are a relaxing lounge space complete with a gas fireplace, updated nurses’ station, and renovated rehabilitation resident rooms.

At 4:30 pm, South Boston held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the front of the building. Administrator Sabrina Jones had the honor of cutting the ribbon along with the rest of the South Boston staff.

The celebration gave families the opportunity to meet the staff and take tours to see the beautiful architecture and amenities that South Boston will offer.

K & G Catering provided delicious chicken, meats, cheeses, fruits, and vegetables for guests to enjoy while listening to live music. Guests came and enjoyed the food while learning about the services South Boston offers.

South Boston thanks everyone for their patience in awaiting the renovations, and they hope to continue to strive to provide quality care to those that they serve.
